The sales momentum for new private home sales, which excludes executive condominiums, had soared to all time high of 391 new condo units in January 2023 while that of December 2022 stood at 170 units, a 130% increase on month-on-month basis
Such sales spike was attributed mainly to new launch of mass market residential new project in particular the Sceneca Residence. This sales from Sceneca Residence contributes about 40% of total private home sales in January 2023. Another factor contributing to the January 2023 sales is the return of mainland Chinese buyers after the covid lock down hiatus for the past 2 years.
