Residential sites for new condominiums were released for sales in the Government Land Sales or GLS in short , program. The specific sites for new launch condo released are located at Serangoon North Avenue 1, Woodleigh Lane and Yishun Avenue 9. As for all government land sales, all these sites are ninety nine years leasehold. These land sales were released on Tuesday, 30 May by Urban Redevelopment Authority or URA in short. Altogether these sites will yield a combined total of one thousand nine hundred and fifty five residential housing units for new condo launch projects.
The site at Woodleigh Lane has a plot size of area of 1.9 hectares and it will be a new condo near MRT station namely, Woodleigh MRT Station. This latest new condo site in the land supply pipeline for the Singapore real estate market will provide new launch condominiums units of about seven hundred and thirty five homes. This site is near to NEX shopping mall with the Serangoon MRT interchange station running beneath it connecting to the rest of other MRT lines. It is also near to schools such as St Andrew Secondary School and Maris Stella High School and is well situated next to the future Housing Development Board estate of Bidadari New Town.
Another Government Land Sales sites released is at Serangoon North Avenue 1 well within close proximity to many amenities and eateries in Serangoon Gardens where Chomp Chomp Food Centre and Serangoon Gardens Market are and it is also near to Rosyth School and Nanyang Junior College. This site has an area of 1.7 hectares and will yield a total residential units of five hundred and five homes.
The third site which is the largest of the three is located at Yishun Avenue 9 with an area size of 2.1 hectares. Well situated within a matured Housing Development Board estate, it is near to Northpoint Shopping Centre with Junction Nine also being close by. This 2.1 hectares land size will adequately support the building of seven hundred and fifteen residential housing units.
